About Rio Raft and Resort
Rio Raft & Resort opened as River Valley Campround in 1977 with the same two partners and owners as today. The property was overgrown with cedar and mesquite trees, had no utilities or roads but had a lot of potential. Years earlier, the mostly German citizens used the riverfront as a park and for a short time, the property was the site of a community center call Wahalla.
After months of hand clearing, road work and construction of a small storage building which served as an office, RV hookups were installed along the tree line overlooking the Guadalupe. The current store/office building was constructed in 1978.
New for 2010 - a three story Condominium with three 2 bedroom units and six 3 bedroom units, all with private decks or balconies and a private entrance to the condo. Pre-sale information, contact Dianne Thomas with Prudential -Don Johnson Realty. dthomas@gvtc.com or 830-964-4355.

I just had to write and inform you of the terrific time my family had while staying at Rio Raft. We had two camping spots and my daughter was in one of the cabins. Everyone was just so nice and helpful. We appreciated it and will be returning.
